What are the cotton nets made of?
100% COTTON. We are the only company in the world that uses 100% cotton. We start our manufacturing process by buying cotton thread and then we weave the netting and fabric before we can sew the nets together. All cotton nets are made from 100% pre-washed cotton netting with a run-proof weave. The run proof weave gives the netting a slightly chequered appearance. The nets are hemmed with a cotton fabric.
How do I clean my cotton mosquito net?
Due to their strength and resilience the nets may be machine washed on delicate cycle using cold water and a mild detergent OR hand washed in cold water using a mild detergent OR dry cleaned. Do Not Tumble Dry. Do Not Hot Wash. Do Not Spin Dry. Pull and stretch the netting to shape while still damp after washing to retain length.
Does the cotton mosquito netting come without the chequered pattern?
No. The chequered pattern of our netting is due to the run-proof weave and a feature of the quality manufacturing process.
Which Fabric? Cotton or Polyester or Silk?
There is a significant price difference between cotton and polyester however the design features and quality of manufacture is identical. Both fabrics provide insect protection.
The cotton is a robust fabric that provides a lot of integrity over a bed and makes a statement of luxury and style. The netting is slightly opaque and is made with a run proof weave that displays with a slightly checked pattern. The look is more of a bed canopy rather than a mosquito net.
The polyester nets are fully hemmed and finished with a micro fibre fabric that provides body and weight to the netting drapes. The netting is soft and sheer and see through and light and airy. The look is of a high quality mosquito net however look great on canopy beds.
Air flow and insect protection is identical for both fabrics.
Pure Silk
We have been making 100% pure silken canopies for over 20 years with the finest quality Silk Georgette drapes and Silk Charmeuse fabric. These canopies are unique to our company, really luxurious and indulgent…. and expensive. The look is of a classic and timeless bedroom furnishing, the silk drapes shimmer in the slightest breeze and complete a four post bed fantastically. Silk is Dry Clean only and the Georgette drapes do not have great air flow as they are a loose weave fabric rather than netting therefore air flow is reduced. This can be overcome by leaving the drapes tied open.
All our mosquito nets are available in 100% cotton OR 100% polyester.
Do we supply hooks for the mosquito nets?
Yes. They are listed on this page: Hooks and Frames and available for purchase in kits.
Do the mosquito nets come with instructions?
Box nets come with instructions however most nets are self explanatory. If further information or help is required please Contact us.
Do the cotton mosquito nets come in different colours?
No. As colour preferences are varied we supply natural white only. The cotton canopies dye easily and the simplest and most effective dying product we have found is a product called Washing Machine Dye. Please be aware that slight shrinkage of approximately 5% may occur if very hot water is used. Use warm water only.

Do I have to use a frame?
No. The unique patented design of our box canopies is so versatile that you do not have to use a frame, you can simply suspend your canopy by suspending from ceiling hooks. We have found that the use of a frame whether it is bamboo, steel or timber adds to the presentation and visual impact of your display.
All Round or single point nets come with frames and only require a hook in the ceiling.

Will a box mosquito net fit on my Four Poster Bed?
Yes, in most situations. When choosing your canopy we suggest that you measure the top frame of your poster bed and then select the size you need. If there is not an exact match then select the next size up as excess fabric can be gathered into the corners. It can be attached in a variety of ways depending upon the type of four poster bed. Is bamboo heavy?
No. A set of cured bamboo poles weighs only 4 Kilo's /8.8 pounds.
Do Mosquitonets supply bamboo frames?
No . We recommend customers to purchase 4 bamboo poles from Bamboo Australia for around $25.00 to Australian customers excluding delivery. Contact them via their website www.bambooaustralia.com.au or phone 07 5447 0299
What dimension poles do I need for a timber or bamboo frame?

Single: 2 @230cm and 2 @ 140cm
Double: 2 @230cm and 2 @ 180cm
Queen: 2 @240cm and 2 @ 200cm
King: 2 @250cm and 2 @ 230cm
Super King: 2 @ 260cm and 2 @ 240cm
These dimensions allow the poles to overlap and "cross" in an attractive manner. We have found that using a diametre that ranges from 1 to 3 inches or 3 to 5cm to be the best.
What is the hidden frame for the mosquito net?
The box mosquito nets have a sleeve on the ceiling. This sleeve allows the use of 3/4 inch powder coated conduit, more commonly known as curtain rod, and corner brackets to create a frame that is hidden in the canopy ceiling.
Is the curtain rod frame heavy?
No. 4 lengths of rod weighs 2 kilograms.

You can make a frame by using curtain rod, available at most curtain product outlets, and cutting it to the following dimensions:
Single: 2 @206cm and 2 @106cm
Double 2 @206cm and 2 @144cm
Queen:2 @212cm and 2 @164cm
King: 2 @220cm and 2 @190cm
Super King: 2 @ 223cm and 2@ 205cm
You will also require 4 right angled adjustable fittings that slide into the ends of the rod and create a rectangular frame. They are available from curtain hardware outlets.

Do you have round cotton mosquito nets in all sizes?
Yes, we have cotton mosquito nets available in King, Queen and Single sizes.
Do the round mosquito nets come in polyester?
Yes. You can purchase a Classic Queen/King, a Classic Single/Double or a Polyester Temple net.
Do the round mosquito nets come with a frame?
Yes. These mosquito nets are supplied with a frame.
Do you have a cotton canopy for cots?
We have a simple polyester mosquito net and standing frame for baby cots. Cot Net

Does the Temple bed canopy fit on a queen bed?
Yes. This canopy will fit over all beds....from cots to kings.
Does the Temple come with a frame?
Yes. The Temple is supplied with a fold-able modular PVC frame that slides into a sleeve on the ceiling of the canopy.
Is it possible to send a mosquito net as a gift to someone?
Absolutely. When you arrive at the checkout page, simply fill in your preferred shipping address.
Do we wholesale our nets?

Fast shipping! All products are Warehoused in Sydney, Australia.
Most products will be shipped within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your order. You will receive your parcel within 4 -14 working days after shipment, depending where you live and the shipping option you have chosen.
Customs Duty and Sales Tax
Any Customs charges or sales taxes upon entry to your country are excluded from our prices. Should you be charged customs/sales tax they are at your expense.
Returns Policy
Please contact us if your order is faulty or incorrect.
We want your satisfaction and recommendation.
Returns must be authorized with our office before sending to the warehouse. Contact us by email or telephone and lodge your intention to return and we will send you detailed instructions.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, excluding shipping. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
We are unable to refund used or damaged items, items that have been removed from their original packaging and are simply the wrong size, wrong colour or items not returned in their original packaging in a manner suitable for resale. If the item is returned in a damaged or unsuitable for resale manner we will charge a restocking fee of 50% of the items cost.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 business days).
If you need to return an item contact us by email or telephone. Let us know when the item is dispatched and we'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
